HHF News – November 2009
A bacon craze is sweeping the nation, and we’ve been on the lookout for all things pig. We found some incredibly tasty and unusual items, and in celebration of this bounty…November is Bacon Month at Heather’s!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, two items you just have to try are “Man Bait” Maple Bacon lollipops and Mo’s Bacon Chocolate Bars from Vosges, makers of some of the finest chocolates in the world. And you won’t want to miss the Bacon Jelly Beans. We are also featuring our home-made Bacon Caramel Corn.

Also in the line-up are Bacon Toothpicks, Vosges Mo’s Bacon Chocolate Chip Pancake Mix, Bacon Jerky in 3 flavors, Bacon Cheddar Cheese Straws and even Bacon in a can (I know, we couldn’t believe it either, but it is actually great stuff and is supposed to have a 10-year shelf life. Perfect for your emergency stores!)

Of course, we still have the items that started it all for us… the famous Baconnaise, Baconnaise Light and Bacon Salt.

Moving away from the bacon theme for a moment, I want to let you know that we also brought in a few spicy sweet items for the holidays: DAS Caramelini Artisinal chile caramels and Vosges Aztec Elixir Couture Cocoa (spicy).

We’re also proud to present our daughter, Savannah’s, first product: Savannah’s Sweet Apple Pie Salsa. Come on in and give it a try!

Finally, I’ve added a few new recipes to our Web site, including Bacon Crab Dip, as well as Chow Chow Cornbread that we featured earlier this season on Robin Swoboda’s WJW Fox 8 morning show, “That’s Life.” Next week, we’ll be filming another spot for her show at our Hudson store, so keep an eye out for us later this month!
